Week 3

The case study about Magdalena Yesil was interesting as you could see each opportunity allowed her to learn new skills and opened doors to the next opportunity.  Reading this case study made me think about the course of my life and had me contemplating choices I have made.  I can definitely say that with each new opportunity I learned and grew, seemingly to mature as I progressed, preparing me for the next step.

Focusing on my own personal code of conduct was a good exercise.  Taking a good long look at what my values, morals, and work ethic is made me stop and ask myself the questions if I am doing everything I can to be the best I can be.  I was glad to see that my work ethic and my integrity is sound, but I could see how I could become even stronger and better.

Looking at the grade levels for motives I could think of individuals who would fit in most every grade level.  Looking inward I know I want to be an A and know to be there I need to focus more on serving others and being there in every way for my family.  At times in my work my focus can move away from home and family, and I use the excuse it is because of the time needed for my job.  The reality is that even with the times I need to put more time into my job, there are things that I can do to keep my focus where on my family and others.  Getting up even earlier to begin my day with scriptures, when I get home take the time to listen to those who need my attention rather than collapsing from an exhausting day.  I can reach out to friends and family during day by texting to see how they are doing.

The choice really is mine to determine my motivations.  No one determines that for me.  I alone am accountable and it is time to reset and commit to improving.
